LowCostHelp.com is national directory of affordable and sliding scale counseling services. Access to affordable mental health care should never be limited by your ability to pay.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, millions of people in the United States do not receive the mental health care they need. The most common reason for not receiving mental health care is not being able to afford the cost of care. People of color and LGBT individuals are disproportionately impacted by poor access to high-quality affordable mental health care.
Many universities, agencies, and nonprofit organizations offer low cost counseling services to individuals and families who do not have access to other affordable options. These services are available to people with or without health insurance. Fees are often determined by a sliding scale, where the cost of services is based on your ability to pay.
